Our 2015 iTAN Model Clarissa Lovell will be vying for the 2016 Miss California USA title at the Miss California USA event in Long Beach, Calif. December 4-6, 2015. As the Official Sponsor of 2016 Miss California USA and Miss California Teen USA, we are so excited to cheer on one of the newest additions to our iTAN family. As Clarissa gets ready for the big day, she gave us the inside scoop on her pageant preparations.
1. Why do you want to be Miss California USA?
I want to be Miss California USA because I have a voice, a voice that wants and needs to be heard. I believe that Miss California USA is a position that I can represent with grace, passion and intelligence. I want the world to know that women are a force to be reckoned with, and it is time we start to change the influence we have, and breed a younger generation of confident, proud women who work hard, say what they mean and mean what they say.
2. How do you incorporate iTAN into your Miss California USA preparations?
In preparation for Miss California USA, I have been utilizing iTAN’s spray and teeth whitening services. It is important to have a nice glow and radiant smile for the stage! iTAN has everything I need to compete at my best.
3. Are there any iTAN products you like to use in preparation for Miss California USA?
My skin is pretty sensitive; that’s why I like to spray tan. The solution doesn’t irritate my skin, and it leaves it soft and moisturized after every session.
4. How are you prepping for the swimsuit portion of the contest?
Besides my iTAN regimen, I am hitting the gym and making sure I am eating nutritiously. This ensures that I not only represent the healthy lifestyle that I preach, but it makes me feel good while I am doing it!
5. What is your best-kept beauty secret?
My best-kept beauty secret is petroleum jelly! I put some on my lips before bed every night to keep them soft and moisturized. This reduces how much lip balm I apply throughout the day, too. Plus, it is a great tool to use for removing stubborn eye makeup without any irritation to the eye.
6. Is there anything else you would like to share about your participation?
Participating in Miss California USA has been a very eye-opening, educational experience. I can’t stress enough how important it is to try something a bit out of your comfort zone, whatever that may be. It forces you to grow as an individual, and to assess and handle different types of situations. A little bit of nervousness can lead to a very rewarding and exhilarating experience!
