Fall is an interesting time in SoCal, we bring out our boots with the fur (oh yes, we do!) and crank up our air conditioning. While the rest of the country is jumping into piles of leaves, our SoCal beauties are experiencing drier air and endless beaches.
We have you covered with the best masks for fall skin whether your skin is dehydrated, oily or blemish prone. iTAN knows there is no “one-size fits all” answer to beauty, so we rounded up your go-to DIYs for flawless skin this season:
1. California Avocados for Dehydrated Skin
Did you know all skin types could suffer from dehydration, including oily skin? Dehydrated skin refers to the top layers of the skin, which can be affected by environmental factors. Sometimes, drinking half your weight of H20 just isn’t enough.
We love this recipe from Desired Face that includes simple ingredients: half a mashed avocado and a teaspoon of honey! For extra dehydrated or dry skin, you can add yogurt and a couple drops of virgin olive oil, too.
2. French Green Clay for Oily Skin
Oily skin can be oh so frustrating! On the bright side, having naturally oily skin might help fight off wrinkles in the future. However, without proper skincare, a flawless makeup day can be wasted.
Clay masks have been a go-to for oily skin, but as it turns out not all clay masks are created equal. Be.Daze.Live. explains that French green clay is best for oily skin and combines it with ground coffee, apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil for best results!
3. Oatmeal and Baking Soda for Acne Prone Skin
It happens to all of us, that moment when you spot or start to feel a breakout (ouch!). The most important way to help acne prone skin is by preventing a breakout instead of simply applying topical spot treatment.
Stressed out skin is no fun, especially during back-to-school season! For an easy, anti-blemish solution, open your pantry and mix up oatmeal, honey and baking soda to make this recipe from Life with Lovebugs.
Wishing you a happy and beautiful autumn from iTAN!
