How do our 2016 iTAN Models stay fit, healthy and looking better than ever? Our 2016 iTAN Models shared their top beauty and fitness regimes and tips, and we took notes! Check out their golden rules and how-to’s for a confident, healthy and beautiful lifestyle:
1. What’s your number one beauty or wellness tip?
Mandy: Take care of your skin! Stay hydrated and drink lots of water to keep your skin glowing.
Olivia: My number one beauty and wellness tip is to get your vitamin D, drink half your bodyweight in ounces of water a day and do more activities outside.
2. Which iTAN service best compliments your beauty, wellness or fitness routine?
Mandy: I compete in beauty pageants, and spray tans are my go-to service before hitting the stage. I like adding a bronzer to give my skin even more of a golden glow.
Mike: Aqua Jet Therapy is my answer to alleviate post training induced muscle soreness, which helps relieve tension in my muscles. It also speeds up the recovery due to the increase of circulation.
3. What is your top fitness tip?
Mandy: Find creative ways to be active! It can get boring going to the gym all the time, so it’s good to mix it up. In addition to regular workouts, I like to go to hot yoga, or go outside for a run or hike. Even walking around the San Diego Zoo for a day can be great exercise!
Anthony: Consistency will yield results, so you have to be consistent with your diet and training regimen. It is very true what is said about fitness being 70 percent nutrition and 30 percent training. It’s hard to train on a poor diet.
4. How often do you workout and why?
Olivia: I work out at least once a day doing some sort of activity. It makes me feel good to get my endorphins and adrenaline going.
Mike: I work out 6 times per week. Training to me is a metaphor for life; I train simply because I want to be the best I can be. Working out makes me stronger physically and mentally; also adding to my overall health.
5. How do you fuel your body and why?
Mandy: I fuel my body by eating small healthy meals every couple of hours and drinking lots of water. I have a bachelor’s degree in nutrition, which has given me a lot of background knowledge on the best food options to eat and keep me energized every day!
Mike: I fuel my body mainly with whole organic foods that are high in protein, good fats and moderate amount of carbohydrates. As my primary energy sources, I choose complex carbohydrates and good fats that help sustain energy throughout my workouts or daily activities.
