It’s that time of year! Ready to make your 2018 New Year’s health and beauty resolutions? Our 2017 iTAN ambassadors shared with us how they plan for the year ahead. Plus, we got the scoop on how they achieve their Instagram worthy health, beauty and fitness appeal.
1. Do you make New Year’s resolutions?
Sabrina: Yes, I do! I think New Year’s resolutions are a great way to keep yourself in check and help you achieve better goals. Often times, it’s hard to stay on top of things. Starting out one day at a time is what I do and eventually it turns into a habit.
2. Will you be adjusting your health, beauty, or fitness routine this year?
Austin: Starting 2018, I want to try to tighten up my schedule. I find myself super dedicated to the gym and going in to tan a lot during the first week or two of the year, but then I start to neglect it the next week. I want to become more organized with my time so that I can commit myself to my health and fitness.
3. What are some of the most important things you can do to make your New Year’s resolutions stick?
Natalie: Some important things you can do to make your resolutions stick is to keep a calendar, and maybe every Sunday night you plan out your week with fitness classes you will be attending. I love to RSVP ahead of time because if you change your mind last minute, you usually get charged a cancellation fee, so I end up going. It works like a charm! Also, another important reminder is to not be so hard on yourself. Mistakes and slipups happen, but it’s the next move that really counts. Don’t be so hard on yourself and just give up. My favorite quote is “Forgive yourself to progress yourself.”
4. How do you hold yourself accountable to health, beauty or fitness resolutions?
Sabrina: I hold myself accountable by one of two things. I get a friend to do it with me so we become each other’s accountability partners. Without a friend, it’s harder to stay focused, but when you have someone to motivate you and push you it’s much easier. I also do weekly check-ins with myself to make sure I’m on track to hit my goals.
5. How can iTAN help you accomplish your health, beauty or fitness New Year’s resolutions this year?

Natalie: This New Year, I think everyone should make a goal to be a little nicer to themselves and really try at it. Even if it’s awkwardly smiling at yourself in the mirror or telling yourself “I love you.” It’s weird how much those things add up and help you really earn your happiness.
